Iran’s 47th National Quran Contest: Winners Named in Three Categories

IQNA – Organizers of the 47th National Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the names of winners in three categories in the men’s section.

Iran’s northwestern city of Tabriz is hosting the country’s 47th National Quran Competition.

 

The closing ceremony of the competition in the categories of Adhan (call to prayer), recitation of supplications, and ‘choral recitation and Tawasheeh’ was held at the Musalla (grand prayer hall) of Tabriz in northwest Iran on Thursday. 

According to the panel of judges, Mohammad Hassan Tofiqzadeh, Ehsanllah Rahman, and Reza Bordbaz were the top winners in the first category.

Ahmad Shafaei Dariani, Asghar Karju and Shahab Amanatchi came first to third respectively in recitation of supplications.

Mir’aj, Anwar al-Huda and Al-Mukhtar choral recitation groups won the first to third ranks in the third category.

The final stage of the competition in the men’s section continues in the remaining categories, including Quran recitation and memorization.

The event, organized by Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, is the largest Quranic contest in Iran, attracting participants from across the country to compete in various categories.

The annual competition, regarded as the most prestigious Quranic events in Iran, aims to promote Islamic values, foster Quranic literacy, and celebrate exceptional talent.

The top winners of the competition will represent Iran in international Quran competitions across the world.
